As my followers would know I have gone eyeshadow crazy at the moment. I am not the best at applying eyeshadow but I am determined to learn which means trying out lots of different eyeshadows yay! Now from this point in time, I have never ever tried a cream eyeshadow so I had no idea what to expect.
Colourstay Creme Eyeshadow
The Colourstay creme eyeshadow is a luxurious creamy shadow that is waterproof and made to last for up to 24 hours. There are four different finishes, metallic, matte, pearl and satin with 12 different shades.
The shade I got was 705 creme brulee which is a lovely champagne colour with a pearly finish. I think that this shade is the perfect shade for a base or a highlight which I actually use for both. There are 12 other shades in this collection that ranges from pinks to purples and blues.
The texture of this creme is really nice. It is very soft and thick but also has a strange powdery feeling. I do have to point out that it feels thicker then it actually is so don’t be intimidated.
Like I said above I use this shade as a base and a highlight. Since it is a creme it blends out flawlessly with no effort and no streaks. It does come with a brush but I prefer to use it with my fingers since it is a very light shade and I want it to be seen. I also found that it works really well with powder shadows blending easily with them and allowing for layering.
I do have to admit that if you are going for a basic, one colour look this shade is stunning on its own!
This eyeshadow comes in a glass pot which I found really different. I like when things feel heavy since I feel like I am getting value for money. In the lid, there is a little brush making it super easy to travel with. The brush applied the creme very well but I did have trouble blending with the brush so I recommend blending with your fingers.
Coming in at $14.95 I think is a fair price. You can get it here.
I think that this creme eyeshadow is really fun. I like how it can be used as a base, on its own or as a highlighter. I find that my other eyeshadows I have stick to it really well and it lasts a long time. I am curious as to how the other less natural colours would work together with this shade which might be a review for later on.
Do you guys prefer creme or powder eyeshadow?
That’s all from me.
Until next time xx
