The first ever lipstick I tried was the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in shade 245 Smoky rose and I fell in love. Even to this day, it is still my go-to lipstick. There’s something about the way Revlon formulates their lipsticks and the colour of Smoky rose is to die for. I was lucky enough to be sent a few more colours from Revlon via PR.
What are these bad boys
Revlon’s Super Lustrous lipstick is a highly pigmented lipstick with a smooth moisturising formula. There are a whopping 54 shades and four finishes – crème, matte, pearl and sheer. I was sent the Bombshell Red (046), Love that Red (725), Gold Goddes (041), Naughty Plum (045) and Va Va Violet (663).
Golden Goddess (041), Naughty Plum (045) and Va Va Violet (663) are all part of their new street chick collection!
I love how Revlon has kept their classic look over time. I found one of my old Smoky Roses and compared the packing to the new lippies that Revlon sent me. The only difference was how faded the smoky rose was! It’s your classic black and gold packaging with a little clear part on the top so you can see tour beautiful lippy.
These lipsticks are so silky smooth. I like how the consistency doesn’t change with the colour nor the Finnish. I love it when a brand makes a consistent applying lipstick.
I love how none of these has a smell. I hate when lipsticks have a super strong smell.
One of these beautiful bad boys will cost you $22.95. The lipstick hoarder in me wants to spend my life savings to get every shade. $22.95 isn’t a bad buy at all. You can get it here.
What I love about these lipsticks is how pigmented they are! I also like how you can’t really tell that you’re wearing it, its as if your wearing a lip balm. They’re also super blendable so if you want to create a gradient you can. Truth be told one night when I was away from home, I used my Va Va Violet and My Golden goddess as eyeshadow, blush and lipstick which I might post a tutorial on one day.
I love these lipsticks so much. I am surprisingly loving golden goddess the most right now. It’s really nice on top of Smoky Rose or alone. I also use it on top of pinks to make a rose gold look. Coming into winter here down under I’m super excited to play with the darker colours! I give these a 100000/5 uhg they’re just so good. They say you always remember your first love….my first lipstick love was Smoky rose.
What’s your favourite Revlon Shade?
That’s all from me.
Until next time xxx
