Revlon Ultra HD Metallic Matte Lipcolor

I am a lipstick whore. There I said it. I am a sucker for lipsticks. I can’t help myself! I need a different shade for every outfit. I see a new lippy I MUST HAVE IT. Metallic, shimmer, gloss, matte I NEED IT. When Revlon sent me some samples via PR I CRIED. All my prayers had been answered! The first ever lipstick I wore was the Revlon Super Lustrous in Smoky Rose, which to this day is still my go-to lippy! So when I received the Ultra HD Matte Metallic Lipcolour I was really intrigued! I mean, ITS MATTE YET METALLIC. I don’t understand this is revolutionary!

What is it
This little bad boy is a lightweight high definition velvety matte colour with a metallic finish. I got the colour HD Flare.

What does it do
This baby is moisturising with a super velvety feel. It almost feels like a lip balm. It’s made from a 100% wax-free, gel formula. It provides an intense colour payoff for hours without drying your lips!

The packaging of this is quite unique. So this is more of a liquid lip yet unlike your usual liquid lip it doesn’t come in the small round lipgloss container. This comes in more of a flat and wide container which I really like. The lid has the applicator attached to it and you screw it off. I like how the lid is wide and flat since I find it allows me for a more precise application. I am a mess when it comes to liquid lippy. The flatness of the packaging makes it even easier to travel with. I HATE always carrying bags, so I often chuck things into my pockets, however, I also HATE when lipstick sticks out. I mean it looks like I have a damn tampon in my pocket. With this, I can stick it in my pocket, yet since its flat, you cant really notice it. I also like how you can see the colour through the packaging.

The texture of this is similar to a liquid lip/lip balm hybrid. It’s thicker than the usual liquid lip yet not as thick as a lip balm. I like this since it doesn’t run like the usual liquid lip.

The application is a breeze thanks to how the lid is designed. For me, I have very shaky hands so when I go to apply liquid lips with a tiny little round lid I really struggle. Since this lid is bigger and flat I find for me I have better control.

THIS SMELLS LIKE BERRYS. I love the smell of berries. It smells that good that you could almost eat it…don’t. It doesn’t taste good.

Coming in at $24.95 AUD, I think it is well worth it! You can get it here!

I am hella impressed with this. The pigment is so vibrant!! I sometimes dislike how dull a matte lip can sometimes look but I like how a matte lip isn’t wet, so the metallic addition to this is a nice touch. It isn’t too shiny but it is enough to kind of hide how dry my lips sometimes look. This stuff also stays on forever!!!! I also like how moisturising it is to the lips which is something I desperately need.

This collection has 24 different colours. The lipstick hoarder in me is shouting from within that I need to go buy them all. I love the colour pay off, the feel and most importantly the packaging of this! They also have some super fun colours like blues and purples which I think would be interesting to play with! If they made this in my beloved Smoky Rose then I would jump right on it! I give this a 5/5!

What’s your go-to Revlon lipstick?

That’s all from me.
Until next time xxx
