Shanghai Suzy- Is this the new ultimate matte lipstick?

Shanghai Suzy is a Melbourne based lipstick brand well known for their matte lipsticks! Living in Melbourne I hear about Shanghai Suzy all the time and being a sucker for matte lipstick I decided to give it a shot.

Shangai Suzy lipstick is a whipped Matte consistency and said to be is super pigmented yet lightweight and long-lasting. Their website says that the lipsticks are Infused with shea butter extract and jojoba seed oil to keep that typical ‘matte’ dryness at bay. Best of all its Vegan & Cruelty-Free, as well as Strawberry Fragranced.

Their stock and colours are constantly changing but I picked up the shade Cappuccino, a nice light brown, which sadly has been discontinued. I also didn’t buy it directly from their website I bought it from a salon in Melbourne so I’m not sure what collection this particular lip colour is from.

Whilst it didn’t really smell like strawberry it was very creamy and super pigmented. I found it was quite moist and took a while to dry but it looked matte as soon as you put it on!

Unfortunately, being a super hot day it seemed to have melted in my bag and snapped when I swathed it. RIP CAPPUCCINO 2017-2017

Coming in at $15AUD it’s a pretty good price! I’d have to say this is even better then the Kylie Jenner Lip Kits. This stuff does not budge !!!

Final Thoughts
Rating – 9/10 (would be 10 if it didn’t snap)
Would I buy again? Yes. Hopefully my next one doesn’t break on me.

Until next time my lovely xxx
