Carbon Coco Teeth Whitning

It seems that my facebook is being flooded with so many new beauty products nowadays. I’ve been seeing a lot of Carbon Coco lately so I thought I’d give it ago.

Carbon Coco is an Australian teeth whitening company that uses all natural activated charcoal to whiten your teeth. I’m all for white teeth as I am a heavy coffee drinker but I do have to admit I was very sceptical. Every review I have seen on it the people had really really white teeth but it made me wonder, did they already have white teeth since they never showed before.

I ventured onto Carbon Cocos website to get my hands on this thing that sounded too good to be true. I started off with the Activated charcoal toothpaste since I was under the impression that it would work like a whitening toothpaste. I was wrong. After spending $50AUD and receiving it, It suggests using the activated charcoal tooth polish prior to using the toothpaste. I found out that the toothpaste was more a maintenance thing which was a big let down. So I bit my tongue and ordered the Tooth Polish. Another $50 AUD later and we were a go.

The toothpaste and Polish

The packet recommends brushing your teeth with the tooth polish for 3 minutes using a soft toothbrush then brushing your teeth with the toothpaste for another 3 minutes. It also recommended doing it for about 14 days to see results.

At first, my gums were really sore from all the brushing but they eventually got used to it after about 5 days. I mean doing it 2 times a day that’s 12 minutes of brushing a day! My poor mouth! I found that the tooth polish was very messy as it was just black charcoal powder and it felt really grainy in the mouth but had no real taste. The toothpaste was black and minty.

I found that you get better results when you use an electric toothbrush rather than a handhold one. Whilst it did make my teeth feel cleaner for longer I didn’t really notice them becoming white. They were definitely a slightly different shade but I think that was from all the brushing. For $100 dollars I was quite disappointed that my teeth weren’t white like promised.

Final Thoughts.
Price- 3/10
Overall Rating- 3/10
Would I buy it again? No way. You’re better off to spend an extra 100 dollars and go to the dentist to get your teeth whitened rather than buying this product. I was very disappointed.

  1. my mum literally grinds charcoal and adds some drops of water to it to make paste and we all use it to brush first thing in the morning before using our normal toothpaste and it works like magic. You should try it…
